1 Who we are and scope
TechForward LLC (TechForward, we, us, or our) operates https://techforward.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information in connection with this Website, inquiries, Academy waitlists, resources, and online tools that expressly link to this Policy. Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual.
This Policy does not automatically cover every website with TechForward branding. Related assessment and Academy sites are covered only where this Policy is expressly made applicable. Separate notices may apply to employment applications, enrolled learners, and particular services. When we process information on behalf of a business or government client, the applicable client instructions and data processing agreement govern that processing; the client generally determines its purposes. This Policy does not replace those contractual obligations.
2 Information you provide
We collect information you choose to provide when you communicate with us, submit a form, request a resource, or join an Academy waitlist. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, employer or organization, role, interests, message contents, and communication preferences. The Academy waitlist form requests a name and email address. Additional information depends on the feature you use.
If you use an assessment covered by this Policy, we may receive your answers, scores, recommendations, and any contact details you submit with a request for results or follow-up. Organizational security information may also identify an individual and can be sensitive even when it is not personal information. Do not enter credentials, classified information, controlled unclassified information, protected health information, or confidential system details in public forms.
Where enrollment or payment features are offered, a separate collection notice will explain learner records and payment processing. Only information relevant to the feature actually used is collected. We may also receive information from your authorized representative, your organization, or a service provider supporting your request.
3 Technical information and cookies
When you visit our Website, our hosting and security systems may automatically collect technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, access times, and diagnostic or security logs. We use this information to operate and protect the Website, troubleshoot problems, and maintain its performance.
The Website may use cookies and similar technologies to support essential functions, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the Website. Third-party features, such as embedded videos or scheduling tools, may also collect technical information when you interact with them.
You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect some features. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent all tracking technologies. Where applicable law requires consent or recognition of an opt-out preference signal, we will obtain that consent or honor that signal as required. A general Do Not Track setting may differ from a legally recognized signal such as Global Privacy Control.
4 How we use personal information
We use relevant information to respond to inquiries; provide requested resources and assessment results; manage waitlists and Academy launch updates; arrange requested discussions; administer a service or training relationship; maintain Website functionality; investigate misuse; and satisfy legal obligations. We also use information to maintain communication preferences and resolve requests or disputes.
Where permitted and consistent with the notice at collection, we may send information about TechForward services, programs, and events. Optional marketing and any additional use requiring consent are subject to the applicable consent requirements. We will not treat mere Website use or acceptance of the Terms as consent for unrelated processing. Before materially changing the purpose for which information is used, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by law.
5 How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate our Website and deliver our services, including hosting, security, forms, email communications, scheduling, training platforms, payment processing, and professional advisers. We disclose information as reasonably necessary for their work, subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.
If your employer or another organization sponsors your training or requests services on your behalf, we may disclose relevant information to that organization, such as enrollment, attendance, progress, or completion records, as explained to you in connection with that arrangement.
When you use an independent third-party service linked from our Website, that provider’s own privacy policy governs the information it collects directly. Where a provider processes information on our behalf, our responsibilities remain subject to applicable law and our agreements.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce an agreement. Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and applicable law.
We may disclose information for other purposes at your direction or with your consent.
6 Sale sharing and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or process it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable privacy laws.
We may disclose information to service providers and other recipients for the purposes described in Section 5. Those disclosures are subject to applicable legal requirements and do not authorize recipients to use your information for their own unrelated advertising.
7 Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, administering waitlists, delivering services or training, maintaining required business records, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes.
Retention periods depend on the type and sensitivity of the information, our relationship with you, applicable legal requirements, and any ongoing business or security need. We may retain limited records of unsubscribe requests to ensure we continue to honor your preferences.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or deidentify it, subject to applicable legal requirements. Copies in backups may remain until they are removed through the normal backup cycle and remain subject to appropriate safeguards during that period.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure. If a security incident requires notification under applicable law, we will provide that notification.
Please do not submit passwords, confidential system information, or other sensitive information through public Website forms. Contact us to arrange an appropriate secure channel when such information is necessary.
8 Your communication and privacy choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link or by emailing info@techforwardllc.com. We will honor marketing opt-out requests within the applicable legal timeframe and, for commercial emails subject to United States CAN-SPAM rules, within 10 business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary transactions, security, or service communications. Where consent is the basis for processing, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Depending on where you live, applicable law, and whether that law covers our activities, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of information; receive information about recipients; or opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Some jurisdictions also provide rights to restrict processing, object, limit use of sensitive information, or complain to a regulator. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a right.
To submit a request, email info@techforwardllc.com or info@techforward.ai with the subject “Privacy Request,” call +1 (301) 466-3882, or write to the address below. Tell us the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information to locate the relevant records. We may verify identity or an authorized agent’s authority where permitted and necessary. Do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents in an initial email. We will use verification information for that purpose and follow the applicable legal deadlines and exceptions.
If Maryland’s Online Data Privacy Act applies to your request, we will respond within 45 days, with an additional 45 days where legally permitted and explained within the initial period. If we deny a covered request, you may appeal by emailing us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to a Maryland appeal within 60 days and, if denied, provide the available mechanism for contacting the Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. Other jurisdictions may have different deadlines and appeal requirements.
9 Children
The Website is intended for organizations and adults seeking professional services or career development. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the Website. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take the steps required by law. Any program expressly admitting younger learners must provide age-appropriate notices and obtain required parental or guardian authorization before collecting their information.
10 International visitors and external services
TechForward is based in the United States. Your personal information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your country of residence.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we will use the required safeguards. Your use of the Website does not waive your privacy rights or, by itself, constitute consent to an international transfer.
Our Website may link to independent third-party websites and services that operate under their own privacy policies. Please review those policies before providing personal information directly to those providers.
Where we embed third-party features or engage providers to process information on our behalf, we remain responsible for our own collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as required by applicable law.
11 Policy changes
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Where a change requires consent, we will obtain it before applying the change to the relevant information.
