Yes. TechForward can assess and optimize an existing environment, modernize legacy architecture, improve security-data quality and cost efficiency, strengthen detection capabilities, and provide ongoing engineering and advisory support. A complete replacement is not necessarily the starting point.

The review is an initial conversation focused on understanding your current environment, security-monitoring objectives, architecture, challenges and priorities. From there, TechForward can identify areas that may warrant deeper assessment, modernization or optimization.

Both. TechForward’s approach extends from assessment and solution design through implementation, optimization and ongoing advisory and engineering support. The goal is to help organizations build security capabilities that continue to perform after implementation.

Yes. Security Data Optimization is specifically designed to help organizations reduce unnecessary data volume and associated costs while preserving the visibility and data quality analysts need for security operations.

6 questions

Yes. TechForward’s Government Solutions include federal logging readiness, government SIEM modernization, subcontract engineering support, state and local government logging readiness, and workforce training. TechForward also maintains an active CAGE Code, UEI and SAM.gov registration.

OMB Memorandum M-26-14 establishes updated federal requirements for effective logging and network visibility. It directs covered agencies to take a risk-based approach to logging that supports continuous event monitoring as well as threat hunting, investigation, response and forensics. (The White House)

The assessment is primarily designed for federal civilian agency cybersecurity, security operations, infrastructure and technology teams evaluating their logging readiness. It can also be useful to contractors and technical partners supporting agency systems or logging environments. M-26-14 applies to covered agency information systems, including systems operated by third parties on an agency’s behalf; national security systems and certain Department of Defense and Intelligence Community systems are excluded from the memorandum’s requirements.

The assessment helps organizations compare their current logging capabilities with OMB M-26-14 and CISA’s Logging Reference Architecture and identify potential readiness gaps. The underlying federal maturity model evaluates areas including inventory visibility, collection coverage, collection operations, data retention and log management.

Yes. TechForward currently offers the assessment as a free, anonymous self-assessment designed to help users identify their maturity level and potential gaps in minutes.

Your results can help you identify areas that may require further review and prioritize next steps toward logging readiness. Organizations that want deeper guidance can speak with TechForward about their logging architecture, SIEM environment and implementation priorities.
